this project was mostly beautiful because of what these friends did... and i had such fun photographing the beauty. it makes me grateful for the inspiring community i get to enjoy.

i havent seen the movie that came out this week yet, but i would like to. the book i love so dearly... and even the cartoon disney one is so sweet to me, that i just dont know how it can be topped! have any of you seen tim burton's version yet? and what do you think?

if you want to know, i think im gonna wait to see it with my sister and brother when andrew and i are in san diego next week (!!!)

like i mentioned before, we moved last weekend... so this week has been a busy one moving out and in. and our new place doesnt have internet yet. so here i am sitting in a coffee shop after just turning in our keys and so bringing our first-year-of-marriage-home's time to a close.

now to devote our energies into moving in!

moving into our apartment soundtrack was the hazards of love... i have an idea of what this moves soundtrack is... but time will tell.

last weekend we were in harrisonburg, va shooting the wakey!wakey! light outside music video we've been excitedly planning for awhile now. it was busy and crazy but fun and rewarding. part of what made it so very interesting is that andrew and my role consisted of being on both sides of the camera... we may have tried to avoid it... but wes at family records insisted that he likes our 'connection', so. we obliged. :) i mean, as long as i just have to connect with my husband in front of the camera, i can pass as an actress?

highlights:

a) the location. its beautiful and like a dream ive dreamt.

b) working and collaborating and learning with so many people i respect.

c) getting to see a story we've been dreaming of start to come to life.

d) aaaand sitting by the heater like it was my job.

andrew's working his magic and the video will premier soon! he wrote and shared more photos at the vsthebrain blog.

we are moving on sunday! so this week has been full of packing and preparing to move about 5 miles away... our little apartment is looking a little like it did when we first moved in:

sorta crazy its been about a year... we're trying not to get to sentimental about it, what can i say, we're emotional people. but we are excited about our new place...

so anyway, they were back at the black cat this week, and this time around we were able to collaborate a bit. i got to shoot some photos of the lovely front-lady, teddy lamson. and while we werent dancing and enjoying our heads off, andrew and i were shooting some of the show for them:

outside our windows the branches of the trees are being piled with snow, and today, as it gets too heavy and falls, we see this huge cloud of white and its pretty.

last nite i watched jurassic park for the first time-- andrew 'grew up on it'... and i am left wondering if i am a whimp or if thats a terrible thing for a child to watch. but with the outside bright in white although it was late at nite and our blinds all open... it was rather magical.

this is the first snowstorm in my adult life. since the kansas days. which i have a few small memories off. we are just enjoying a cozy day with tea and music and each other. id love to hear- what are you doing today?
