in the fall, andrew and i went to see the dirty projectors at the black cat in dc... givers were touring with them- we hadnt even heard of them but within probably the first two notes, i was sort of mesmerized and in thorough enjoyment. their performance, their music, their kinetic energy, it was just. really great.

so anyway, they were back at the black cat this week, and this time around we were able to collaborate a bit. i got to shoot some photos of the lovely front-lady, teddy lamson. and while we werent dancing and enjoying our heads off, andrew and i were shooting some of the show for them:
